This year, in keeping with the "Women Against Poverty" focus, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Women's League met with the members of the Women's Shelter in the area to discover their greatest need.  As a result of this meeting, our ladies collected a car load of blankets, sheets, towels and kitchen utensils and, just before the Christmas Season, delivered these items to the shelter.

When asked what was needed for the shelter in the New Year it was reported that clients making use of the Shelter desperately needed personal hygiene items so, once again, we went to work collecting shampoo, conditioners, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes and intimate items, putting them in gift bags to be delivered to the Shelter.
Also delivered to the shelter was a box of toys including colouring books and crayons for the children.
